How to use this target

A 200 KB target gives a photograph more room than a tiny thumbnail budget, but feasibility still depends on detail and dimensions. This tool starts at 200,000 bytes and searches within the settings you allow.

  1. Select an image and check that JPEG is an accepted output format. Use PNG or WebP if you must preserve transparency.
  2. Set the destination dimensions if they are known. Do not guess official photo requirements from the byte limit alone.
  3. Run the tool, inspect the comparison and read the validation report. Keep your original until the destination confirms the upload.

What to check before uploading

Images with noise, dense patterns or embedded text are harder to compress cleanly. If the target cannot be met, reduce dimensions only where permitted, try another accepted format or request a larger upload allowance. Browser processing is unlimited; edge/server jobs have plan limits.

Common questions

Is 200 KB the same as 200 KiB?

No. 200 KB is 200,000 bytes; 200 KiB is 204,800 bytes. This preset uses the smaller decimal value. The workspace’s KB control uses 1,024 bytes per unit; the exact byte ceiling remains the authority.

Do I need an account?

You can start as a guest. Supported browser-only processing is free; fallback processing has daily and file-size limits shown on the pricing page.
