Small units.
Big difference.
Turn an upload limit into an exact byte budget. Compare KB with KiB and leave a little room below the ceiling.
A margin leaves room below an ambiguous limit. It cannot guarantee acceptance.
Only the byte count is read. No file contents or filename are uploaded or saved.

A file displayed as 200 KB can exceed a strict 200,000-byte limit if your computer calculates the label using 1,024-byte units. This calculator keeps the two conventions explicit and reports the exact target.
| Label | Decimal bytes | Binary equivalent label and bytes |
|---|---|---|
| 100 KB | 100,000 | 100 KiB = 102,400 |
| 200 KB | 200,000 | 200 KiB = 204,800 |
| 1 MB | 1,000,000 | 1 MiB = 1,048,576 |
| 2 MB | 2,000,000 | 2 MiB = 2,097,152 |
What this calculator does not predict
The required percentage reduction is arithmetic, not a promise that an encoder can reach it. Readability, required dimensions, accepted format and document structure can make a target infeasible. Review every output and follow the destination’s instructions.
