How to use this target
Some upload fields reject files that are too small as well as too large. This tool starts with a 20,000–50,000-byte range. If the encoded file is below the minimum, it adds format-compliant padding; that padding changes byte size without adding visual detail. Normal compression settings still control the encoding step.
- Read both limits on your upload field. In the assistant, enter a range such as “PNG between 20 and 50 KB.” KB means 1,000 bytes here; KiB means 1,024.
- Choose JPEG, PNG, WebP or PDF output. For exact preservation of image pixels, choose strict lossless with PNG or WebP and keep dimensions unchanged.
- Process and review the report. It must pass both minimum and maximum byte checks. Download the output and confirm the portal accepts it.
What to check before uploading
Padding is not a quality improvement and cannot satisfy photo resolution, face position or document-content requirements. Portals may remove padding or enforce additional checks. Very narrow ranges can be infeasible because valid container structures need a few bytes of overhead. Minimum-size padding is not supported for AVIF, audio or video output.
Common questions
Will this change what my file looks like?
The padding step leaves the encoded image or PDF content unchanged. A separate lossy encoding or resize step can change appearance; use the appropriate lossless settings when required.
Is “increase KB” the same as “increase pixels”?
No. KB measures stored bytes, while dimensions measure width and height. Use the image enlarger if the portal asks for more pixels.
Does reaching the byte range guarantee portal acceptance?
No. The uploader can check format, content, resolution and other rules. Review its instructions and keep the original.
